Hailed by The New York Times as “something extraordinary,” the Parker String QuartetDaniel Chong & Karen Kim, violins; Jessica Bodner, viola; Kee-Hyun Kim, cellois quickly establishing itself in the front ranks of younger artists. In 2005, they won both the Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the Bordeaux Quartet Competition. In pianist Soyeon Lee, winner of the 2004 Concert Artists Guild International Competition and the Arthur Rubenstein Prize, they have found the ideal musical partner. The Parker performs a Haydn string quartet; Soyeon Lee performs Chaconne in d minor by Bach-Busoni and joins the quartet for the beloved Schumann piano quintet.
