N otable for their “no holds barred” style (The Strad Magazine), the Chiara—Rebecca Fischer & Julie Yoon, violins; Jonah Sirota, viola; Gregory Beaver, cello—brings electrifying verve to a repertoire that spans musical genres and artistic traditions. Recently named Artists-in-Residence at Harvard University, the Chiara was recipient of the 2006 Guarneri Quartet Residency Award from Chamber Music America. They will perform works by Bartok, Korngold, and Icefield Sonnets, composed by Canadian Pierre Jalbert and based on poems by Anthony Hawley.
